Jeff Clarke Athens Haunted History Tours

Over the last decade, Jeff has appeared in several nationally syndicated television series. He was an on-air historian and consultant for the Emmy nominated three-part mini-series ‘The American Revolution’ and ‘America: Fact vs Fiction’, Seasons Three and Four. Most recently, he was featured in the Travel Channel’s ‘Tales of Terror’ with host Robert Englund. Jeff Clarke has called Athens, Georgia home for almost thirty years. In that time, he has become familiar with the history and culture of this unique Southern town.  Jeff noticed that often while engaged in conversation with locals, inevitably the chat would turn to talk of Georgia folklore.  In particular, strange occurrences and ghostly sightings. It would appear that the city of Athens has a vibrant nightlife – and an equally vibrant afterlife. Inspired to find out more, Jeff began to dig deeper into the spirited past of the Classic City.

And so began Athens Haunted History Tours –  the perfect marriage of Jeff’s love of history and storytelling.  He combines these two passions with whimsy and theatrics, sure to engage audiences of all ages.

“Southerners love a good tale. They are born reciters, great memory retainers, diary keepers, letter exchangers… great talkers.”
